Mommy Monday: Weekending

I mentioned in my last post that the weather was cooling down here and that meant we'd be able to get out with Lil' H. Welp, the weather did get cooler and we did make it out! We spent the afternoon on Saturday taking advantage of our membership to the Dallas Arboretum.

And thus, dear readers, begins our weekend recap in pics:

Just getting into the Arboretum. Little bit bright for our boy.

Checking out some fishies. Yes, those are martians on Henry's socks.
I laugh when I see this sculpture now, because all I can think of is it being a little bit... "Orange Is The New Black" if you catch my drift ;)

Henry didn't want to participate in our family selfie

All the babies loved the fishies!

They were prepping their annual fall pumpkin display. You better believe we'll be back for that!

Henry wasn't sure about the frog fountains. I think he was scared daddy would get him wet.

My tall husband ducking to not get wet at the frog fountains

After we were done at the Arboretum, we headed over to Good Friend for some craft brews, fried pickles and burgers.

Baby at a bar

Dancing baby at a bar... Because FRIED PICKLES

I can't tell you how nice it was to spend some time outside with Henry! What did you all do over the weekend?

I'm linking up with the lovely B Loved Boston for her Monday Weekending party, and also with Leslyn's Lovely Life for Mama Monday! Make sure to check them out.

    1. Yeah, below 60 is barely tolerable. My threshold is 50 - anything lower than that, and I'm out!

    1. We're starting him young and raising him right! Ha. The boots are Audrey Brooke (picked up at Nordstrom), and are the best thing that's ever happened to my feet! the leather is soooo soft and they're sooooo comfy. I don't think I wore anything else last winter, and likely won't this year either :)

    1. Thanks Biana! It was so nice to get outside, and have a little family happy hour on a patio. Don't worry, Henry stuck with milk while mama and daddy indulged!

    1. Thanks Emily! It's so much better in person - I mean, they build a house out of pumpkins!

  6. What a fun weekend! I'm so jealous of the pickles. We tried to make some last weekend and they were an epic fail. I guess it's a good thing thought because otherwise I'd eat them on a daily basis.

    1. Fried pickles are insane. And then you know what I do to make them extra healthy? Cover them in ranch dressing. Oops!

    1. Thanks so much! I mean, we can't stop living life just because we had a baby, right? And it was about 4:30pm, so there were a few babies in that bar!

    1. It was a short lived cool down, but our weather should be headed your way! I looooooove Charleston, and used to live in Savannah myself. But yup, back to the mid-90's for us. Fall, where'd you go?!
