I spy with my little eye an Otis nub-tail photobomb! |
Craving: I got nothin' but aversions. Meat remains the most disgusting thing I've ever seen or smelled, and I'm now basically a strict vegetarian. Thanks, Otto.
Missing: Being able to drink as much wine as I want. I do indeed indulge in a small amount of wine occasionally, but I'd really like just one day where I can order a Bloody Mary at breakfast and follow it with a few glasses of wine by the pool. Because it's still very much pool weather here. Ah well, soon enough.
Weight & Workouts: I'm six months (23 weeks to be exact) and up 8.5 pounds. Feeling pretty good about that! I'm no longer doing any weight lifting or circuit training classes (too much time is spent on our backs doing shoulder presses/ab work and I'm now too big for that nonsense) but I'm still walking, yoga-ing (hopefully never with that old dude again) and barre-ing. I can't wait for the weather to cool down enough to walk outside! I'm really looking forward to that later this fall.
Maternity clothes: Duh, look at me. I've pulled out everything from my first pregnancy and the only thing I've bought thus far is this maxi dress from Tart that Stitch Fix sent me and these AMAZING yoga/barre leggings from Pea in the Pod, which I've quickly learned is the only maternity store worth my time. It's not cheap, but they dress women of my build and save me frustration because everything fits! (*I'm not being compensated by Pea in the Pod, but I wish I was.)
Gender: No girls allowed! Otto William Stewart. Can't wait to meet the little fella.
Excited for: Right now, just for my bathroom to be done. I've got a date with my massive soaker tub. This back is achin' and that tub will cure what ails me!
Six months pregnant and the toes are disappearing... |
First off, you have the cutest little bump ever! I WISH I looked like that when I was preggo! And I love that you've named him...we did that for ALL our babies! I really feel like it brings such a connection long before you actually meet face to face! And...I love your phone case :) xox Christine
ReplyDeleteyou are so so cute! I don't have kids but I love bumpdates! It's fun to see someone's progress!!
ReplyDeleteI know I'm not the one who's pregnant, but I feel like this pregnancy is going SO fast. First you find out your pregnant, I blink and you're 2/3 of the way through?! Craziness.
ReplyDeleteI feel like your pregnancy is flying by too! 6 months! My goodness. And your bump is so cute. Food aversions are the worst! Even smelling certain things just makes you feel so sick. No bueno.
ReplyDeleteI swear it's bad enough that men are the loudest chewers/food eaters but then they have to come into your yoga class and be that person who is so loud they ruin it for everyone else. It's like when that nasty man comes in for a hot yoga class in like a tiny bathing suit and flings his sweat everywhere. UGHHHHHHHHH so gross! That would have bothered me all day as well. You look amazing! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going!!
ReplyDeleteYour bump is too cute.
ReplyDelete6 months, how exciting! good to know about pea in the pod, i will keep it in mind. that guy in the yoga class sounds horrible. how annoying!
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic!! I'm sorry to hear that meat isn't your friend anymore. I was so relieved when that aversion stopped. I agree that time is just flying by! I also recently had to stop the weight training and HIIT exercises. It was a bummer, but it's amazing how good the barre and pregnancy pilates workouts feel.
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't believe you are already at the 6th month mark! That's crazy. I'm sure the rest will fly by, too. Your bump is the cutest!
ReplyDeleteOne time there was a woman in one of my yoga classes (which I have not even been to in forever, btw), who I seriously thought was having some sort of orgasmic experience. It was all I could do to keep from laughing. She was really feeling it.
ReplyDeleteYou seriously look fantastic girl! Sorry you still have the food aversions!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI just love your belly, Momma. :)
ReplyDeleteTotes hear you on disruptive peeps in yoga. One person can really make or break that vibe you've got and sometimes it's awash. Steer clear of that man if you see him again!!!
You look so great! And I totally know what you mean, my first, and even my second pregnancy, seemed to drag on; but this one especially flew by unbelievably fast!
ReplyDeleteYou really do have the cutest baby bump ever!!!
ReplyDeleteWell yes it's true, I can understand author of this topic. I have something similar, which was pushed me to several ailments, including the headaches and unnormal sleep at night. For retreatment I was adviced doing yoga. It was maybe six years ago, so I was start doing yoga first at home, then I went to yoga class. Today I am yoga master and have my own students with same issues as I had too. I share with them my knowledges. Recently I discovered yoga bead bracelet this company made it, and also here I found the matt, which is possible to wash on the washing machine. I'm sure you know how important good stuff for meditations...
