Best Blog Posts of 2018

I've rounded up my favorite, most popular and most controversial posts of 2018

The end is near! Ha, that sounds dramatic. But 2018 is coming to a close quickly. It was a great year for me on so many levels - the most successful year I've had blogging with not only sponsorships but also with different kinds of work opportunities with various brands (I wrote for other sites! I got paid to take food photos!), and of course, the pregnancy and birth of the twins. I've done fun tutorials and crafts, amazing recipes, and put my opinion out there on topics from parenting to blogging cliques to food allergies and more. I thought I'd round up my best blog posts of 2018 so they're all in one spot.

Next year, I'll hit my 5th year blogging, which blows my mind. Every now and again I wonder if I'll "make it", meaning I wonder if I'll be able to pull off a post in time, or get that Instagram photo up for the day. And every time, I manage to pull something off. Having the twins has been stressful and definitely hampered my progress on the blog. I've just decided to roll with it! I'm hoping to resume two posts a week sometime early next year, but navigating this space and mothering four very young children is a constantly evolving, constantly changing dynamic. I'm not going to be the cliche blogger who teases, "I have so many exciting things in store for you for next year!" I don't. I literally have nothing planned for 2019 because I'm just not sure what my capacity will be as of yet. Alas, that's next year! Let's get back to the best of the best of this year, shall we?

My favorite post
I got to expose some of the craziest things I heard and was asked while pregnant, and provide some of the snarky answers that went on in my head, along with what I really told people when they asked various bizarre questions. I wrote this one when I was 30+ weeks pregnant with twins in the summer in Texas and stuck on bed rest... In other words, I didn't hold back. Definitely one of my favorite posts I've written in terms of entertainment value!
Answers To The Rudest Pregnancy Questions I've Ever Gotten

My most viewed post
I love that my roundup on how to use essential oils did so well. It makes me happy to know that people are interested in using essential oils that are thousands of years old and want to make healthier changes to their everyday lives. The other post was my pregnancy announcement that shared we weren't just having one baby, but in fact were doubling our family size! It never fails to amaze me how much people love to read the details of other people's lives. I love that about blogging, because I'm an open book and ready to talk about ALL OF IT.

Big News! The Shock Of A Lifetime

My most controversial post
This one surprised me a little! It was a sponsored post in partnership with an infant probiotic company. The shocking part? They didn't require any approvals even though I was making medical claims! I could have written whatever I wanted. They did provide some research for me, and oddly enough, I had just read a study from Virginia Commonwealth University on how gut health was officially linked to not only the health issues listed in the post, but now Autism too. Anyway, all moms are intense when you talk about ailments their children are experiencing, but food allergy moms are some of the MOST intense. Needless to say, I got some interesting emails from this post, especially because the brand I worked with promoted it pretty heavily so it reached way bigger than my normal audience.

The best idea I think I offered the internet
This year, I experienced a big shift in attitude towards social media. In the past, I've loved everything about it - meeting new people, "talking" with friends, sharing tidbits on my life and seeing what others' are up to. But this year, I found it more exhausting. I read so many negative comments on other peoples posts and profiles, and of course, had to deal with my own Negative Nancy's. It just seems like people are so quick to judge others and let them know about it, all under the guise of their keyboard or phone. More so than in other years. Anyway, I wrote this on how to mentally process and handle all the negativity on social media, and think it offers some great insight for everyday social media use.

  5. First of all, I love your authentic writing style. You really have a strong personal voice. I also enjoyed reading the posts you linked to. I have been interested in essential oils for a while and I appreciate how you bring a fresh approach because many articles I've read discuss what the oils are good for but don't get into how to actually use them around the house. I also found your article about rude social media comments really helpful. Finally, I could really relate to your intro on the article for pregnancy questions because I also can't stand "questions not to ask" posts. Sure, I might cringe at a particular question, but like you said, the person is just curious and certainly has a right to ask that question!

  11. These are some great posts! I totally agree that people can be so negative on the internet, so it's awesome that you've found ways to combat that. I always cringe when I see trollish comments on other blogger's Instagram's or sites. I just don't get why people can't be nicer!

  13. I have been casting spells for many years and I have helped many people, I might be able to help you too. I am honest, and I genuinely care for all the clients who choose me to cast a spell for them.

If you have any questions about Love, Money, curse, protection, bad luck, divorce, court cases, or about me please call or email me. I really want you to feel comfortable before moving forward with any spells, or other services. I will take the time to explain things to you and provide you with honest advice, to what is best for your situation. I will not pressure you into having a spell cast, I will leave that decision up to you, and when or if you decide to move forward, I might be able to help you.
I will respect your Privacy. I will not seek to obtain any of your personal information beyond what you might voluntarily offer and all information you might give me including emails, phone numbers and photos will remain private and confidential.
I perform my Rituals only at night between the hours of 0.00 - 0.59 (South African time) lasting 1 hour but of course, this depends on the nature of the ritual, some rituals might take hours and can also become necessary to be performed at specials places like; flowing streams, cemeteries and other places dictated by the gods.
I do not want anyone to be under any illusions about my spells and its numerous rituals. Real and effective Voodoo is no child's play, it is expensive because, after the rituals, I will have to destroy all the materials involved by fire and the ashes scattered over a flowing stream or river.
You will get what you seek. But please understand this might take a lot of time and that individual results may vary. contact +27663492930, greatogudugu@gmail.com

  14. I was a HIV-AIDS patient and I got it from cheating on my wife. It was sort of a payback but a week later I was told by a friend that the person who I cheated with had the HIV-AIDS virus and did not tell me. I was so stupid by not using a condom I thought since he was an old school friend he was trustworthy. But I was wrong. I cried and cried. Two days later, I got a phone call from my friend and he told me about a person who is known by another friend, who can help me. I could not let my wife know what I was going through. I finally got his email address: oseremenspelltemple@gmail.com and I emailed this man my story and he replied me immediately saying i should be calm and told me that everything will be OK. I could not come to terms with what I was hearing but then I concluded it did not matter because I was so broken I just needed help. I was going out of my mind literally. I was confused with what he was telling me, but I listened. He told me about some materials i need to buy that he needed to cast the spell and I said OK. I bought the materials to him, I sent down my picture to him and my positive result sheet and he replied me that i am going to be negative under 3days. I message Him every 2hours for 2day and I knew he thought that I was crazy but I did care I needed a shoulder. Behold, the third day he messaged me i should go for a test that i will be negative. My marriage could be broken because of a stupid mistake and my life was on the line. I remembered when I was going to get the results of my re-test I called him up again and told him that I was going to get my results today and his reply was “so" and that everything will be as he explained. I knew then that he was getting tired of me calling him, maybe I was wrong. Well I got my results and the first person I called was him - again. As he said hello I started to cry and cry. I could not believe it. I was given a second chance in life. This man is a great spiritual HIV/AIDS healer, his healing spell on aids healing is very powerful .please brothers and sister, contact Dr Ose oseremenspelltemple@gmail.com
